The Business
Known widely as an innovative leader within the ICT industry, Downs Microsystems currently has an opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join their busy team. Their client base is currently a large cross-section of different industries from manufacturing to transport, education to health services, geographically located across South-East Queensland including some inter-state clients.
The Role
Working with both SMB/E and larger business clients you will be immersed in a range of ICT systems and infrastructure; dealing with leading brands and latest technology. Your role will include variety of project work, roll-outs and new installations as well as regular service and maintenance work for long-term clients. The broader your skills set the better, as the business covers a wide area of systems and ICT work including (but not limited to):
· Microsoft Servers - 2000, 2003, 2008 including Exchange Servers, Terminal Servers and Virtualisation.
· TCP/IP Networking - covering Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies etc
· Managing, Maintaining and Implementing Citrix Solutions
· Cisco Routers and Switching
· Database Management - MS SQL etc.
Being an 'employer of choice' and leader within the local ICT market, the firm is committed to ongoing training, development and support. Due to the scope of the role the firm would ideally like you to possess a selection or combination of the follow qualifications/certifications:
· MCITP (Previous MCSE, MCP will be considered) and/or;
· CCA, CCEA, CCIA - Citrix Certifications and/or;
· CCNA - Cisco Certification and/or;
· VM Ware Certified Professional
