Well folks, I wish I could say that we’re off to a good start this year in the job market, but as you well know it’s the doldrums right now. We’re continuing to provide all sorts of job feeds from major job banks on the net, so that you don’t have to go hunting on each site. We bring the jobs to you in one integrated online solution. We also filter out (as much as possible) jobs unrelated to IT.
As a reminder, our site is what is termed as a “mash-up” or integrated online solution for helping IT professionals find employment as well as network using their profile, create their own mini-blogs and private messaging. We pull data or jobs and articles summaries from a number of job related sites on the Web. Both IT Specialist.info and IT Specialist.com are highly RSS driven and are thus constantly updated on an hourly basis with the latest jobs and information on technology, respectively. Thus, the sites are highly dynamic and are constantly refreshed with latest jobs, news and article involving information technology.
Now, more specifics about the IT Specialist Career Center (IT Specialist.info); the mini-blog located within your profile can used to “shout out” to recruiters (and your peers) about the knowledge and expertise you have, so don’t be afraid to use it. Once you post to your mini-blog it is published in your profile and pushed to your area of expertise or specialization on our site’s main landing pages or tabs under “Media Highlights”. You also privately message each other by visiting each other’s profile and clicking on “Send Message”. Your message will be sent to your private mailbox on IT Specialist.info and to your personal e-mail addressed if you flagged it to do so.
Finally, we’ve recently added a nifty little widget to our site that allows you to listen to podcasts directly from our site regarding what specific types of jobs entail as far as duties and responsibilities are concerned. Check it out under each tab or section under “Media Highlights/Job Podcasts. We constantly add new features to our site to help improve your personal networking and job search, so stay tuned!
